Luis Kuri is a filmmaker and Storyteller who is originally from Mexico, but raised in the United States. He recently collaborated in directing the episode “Erase de una Vez, El Pastor Mentiroso” from the Mexican acclaimed TV series. Luis earned a BFA in Film Direction from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. His fascination for storytelling began at an early age following his instinct of capturing stories with his fathers old super - 8 camera and evolved over the years through his passion for advertising. He has directed more than 1,000 commercials throughout North America. Some of the international brands are Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Honda, Western Union, Red Bull, McDonald´s, Unilever, Grupo Bimbo, Nestlé and Huggies, are just a few. Kuri has also closely worked with international agencies as Ogilvy, JWT, McCann Worldgroup, Y&R, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, BBDO, DDB, FCB, among others. As a Clio, AICP, and EFFI award-winning director, Luis has received global praises for his commercials in Mexico, and the US. He was a founding partner of Colectivo and is a co-owner of Mastodonte Films in Mexico were he produces, directs and represents local and international directors. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
